Kite surfing
In Baja California Sur, along Ruta 1, there are several ideal places where to practice Kitesurfing, which are world known.
La Ventana, located 30 minutes from La Paz, it is the perfect place to practice kite surfing or “kiting” thanks to steady winds and “L” shaped sandy beaches. La Ventana hosts several kitesurfing international tournaments, clinics and expos.
Los Barriles, located between Los Cabos and La Paz, is an ideal spot to practice kite surfing specially for beginners due to its large sandy beach (shorebreak).
On the Pacific Ocean´s coast, Punta Abreojos is an ideal place to do kite surfing and surfing due to its “point break” that creates excellent waves and it is usually less crowded.
