ABOUT RUTA 1

RUTA 1 is a DESTINY by itself. It is not just a tourism route, but a destination brand that, as an umbrella brand, brings together all the destinations in Baja California Sur, and invites tourists to discover Baja in its entirety, to explore Baja California Sur using RUTA 1 as the main route.

To speak of a Umbrella Destination, is to speak of a set of activities, services and destinations that present a unified proposal for an area or region. A Umbrella Destination is an opportunity for small destinations, with limited budget to have greater exposure.

RUTA 1 represents and groups the essential characteristics of each Baja destination, thus generating a unique destination brand in the world.

RUTA 1 DECALOGUE OF COMMITMENTS.

AS PART OF RUTA 1, I AND / OR MY COMPANY COMMIT OURSELVES TO


1.- Provide my information and hold me responsible for keeping it updated.

2.- Commit to maintain the standards of the brand RUTA 1

3.- Commit myself to use my creativity to come up with new products and activities, trying to give tourists unique and quality experiences.

4.- Commit myself to collaborate with the operators and service providers of my region, as well as with my community, so that RUTA 1 grows and becomes part of the culture of Baja Sur.

5.- Commit myself to collaborate with tourism service providers from other regions of the state in order to integrate a richer offer.

6.- Ensure the safety of my community and the tourists who come to visit it.

7.- Carry out activities that contribute to minimize negative impacts on the environment and the community.

8.- Build respect, environmental and cultural awareness through our offer of activities or services.

9.- Provide positive experiences for both visitors and hosts.

10.- Familiarize myself with the sustainability standards established in the GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) criteria in order to enter into a process of continuous and voluntary improvement for my company and / or my destination.
